A FREE STARTER COURSE
Your first affiliate offer, honestly.
Build trust before a commission. This course gives you a process, not a referral code or an earnings promise.
Lesson 1 / choose something you can explain
Start with a product you have used or can evaluate responsibly. Describe who it helps, what it costs and its practical limits. Keep your own experience separate from claims supplied by a brand. An offer is optional; your audience should still get value without buying.
Lesson 2 / get clear commercial terms
Before publishing, agree on the scope, permission to use brand materials, tracking method, cancellation terms and how qualifying commissions are calculated and paid. Obtain consent before collecting or sharing a person’s contact details for a commercial introduction. Do not invent discount codes or claim a sponsorship that has not been agreed.
Lesson 3 / disclose the relationship
Tell people clearly when a recommendation is sponsored, a product was provided or a purchase through your affiliate link may earn you a commission. Put the disclosure where people encounter the recommendation, including in a live discussion. Review the rules for your audience and jurisdiction; the FTC’s guide is one official starting point for US-facing content.
Lesson 4 / publish a useful review
Create an edited explanation or a live demonstration with a real comparison and room for questions. Label the public link so fans understand its destination. Confirm that your current link policy accepts it; never hide credentials or prohibited tracking secrets inside a URL.
Lesson 5 / record what actually happened
Use the merchant’s confirmed report and your commercial agreement to reconcile results. Views, clicks and positive comments are different from approved commissions. These lessons do not activate a Tick affiliate program, create an earnings wallet or guarantee monthly bonuses.
